After I received Christ as my Savior, I fell in love with the bible. I really wanted to know Christ Jesus in the Bible. I prayed and read the Bible everyday, but I never seemed to understand it.

Eventually one of my classmates who met with the local church invited me to a meeting. Although that day I was very tired, I went to the meeting. It was there that I first called on the name of the Lord and enjoyed the Lord's presence with us. Then we sang the song, “ captivated by His beauty, worthy tribute haste to bring, let His peerless worth constrain thee, crown Him now unrivaled king.” I sensed that these people were genuine lovers of Jesus.

In that meeting, there was some speaking about Noah's ark that really opened up the Bible to me. I had read the story of Noah in the Bible before, but I had never seen the things that they saw. This kind of sharing really attracted me. After the meeting I found out that the riches they were enjoying in the meeting were from the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee.

From that time, I began to meet regularly with the local church. In the church, my hunger to know God's Word was satisfied.

Christ is not merely a Savior

The ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee has shown me how Christ can be so enjoyable and experiential. In the gospel of John, chapter 3, Christ is the bridegroom that makes us happy. In John 4 & 7 He is the living water. In John 6, He is the bread of life. This is Christ from just four chapters in the gospel of John, but we have a Bible of 66 books. In fact, we can find Christ in every chapter in each book. My knowledge of Christ has been enlarged by these two brothers' ministries.

The writings of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee have also helped me in a practical way to experience Christ. One truth they opened up from the Bible was the matter of calling on the name of the Lord. It is so easy and enjoyable to say “O, Lord Jesus.” By calling on His name I can really be in spirit. Christ has become not only my Lord, but even more, my life. Not only in the Christian meetings, but even more everyday I am enjoying Him. He is so near, dear and sweet to me.

Thank the Lord for the ministry of these brothers which has enriched my experience and knowing of Christ.
